Overview.
Mediation is a process whereby a neutral third party aids in the negation between two (2) opposing parties. The mediator does not advocate for either party but merely assist them in dispute resolution. Mediation can be used in divorce to help the parties settle their issues without the need of a lengthy trial. Mediators can be hired by either party or the parties’ attorney if one has been retained. If you have an attorney you may bring them to the place of mediation. With the mediator's help, you would work through all the issues you need to resolve so the two of you can get through your divorce. Mediation is voluntary and either party can withdraw from it at anytime. Mediation can be a good resource to allow for an amicable and cost effective settlement.
At The Beard Law Group we will facilitate mediation
