Alabama Past Due Accounts / Eviction

Overview.

Unpaid and/or past due accounts are an unfortunate frequent occurrence in today’s business world. These unpaid or past due accounts effect businesses big and small. Small businesses tend to suffer a greater economic hardship when faced with unpaid and/or past due accounts. At The Beard Law Group we understand how important your business and its income are to you. We will work hard to collect the amount owed to you, in order to provide you with relief from the burden of these debts.

There are a variety of ways in which we can collect on a past due account for you. We can first attempt resolution through correspondence with the debtor via letter and phone call. In the event that the account cannot be settled, we can initiate legal action in order to obtain a judgment for the past due amount. Once a judgment has been obtained on the account failure to pay can result in interest charges at the rate of twelve percent (12%).

If the debtor is unwilling to pay after a judgment has been rendered then by Alabama law we can garnish the debtors wages. Alabama allows for the garnishment of up to twenty-five percent (25%) of the debtors wages. A garnishment will ensure that you receive payments toward the past due account.

Do not let past due accounts adversely affect you and your business. If you have a past due account contact one of our dedicated lawyers about your rights and collection options.

Eviction.

Are you a landlord suffering with a tenant that refuses to pay?  No need to stress, please contact our office and we will be glad to aid in a remedy for your specific situation as reasonably as possible.  The eviction process, if completed correctly, can be very effective in removing and recapturing some of the debt owed to you from unwilling tenants.  Most importantly, you will regain control of your property.
